At the beginning of July, Michael helped us with our search for a rental property. I could not have met a more amicable and helpful person as we tried to decide where we were going to live. He spent all of Monday (July 5th, technically a holiday), showing us properties. He carefully chose homes throughout the Peninsula that had different flavors.

When the owners or landlords were on site, he asked the hard questions such lease terms, deposits, and expectations; allowing us to wander and seek out features we did and did not like.

We even had a great lunch with him, in which we chatted about the area and we told tales of Austin to him.

In the end, we decided to go with a Craigslist property in the Richmond/Seacliff area of SF. We did not go through Michael for this property because it did not seem fair for him to have to drive all the way from Los Gatos to SF; especially since he was not going to earn a commission. In fact, I think most, if not all of the properties in which he showed to us, were not commission based. That’s how great Michael is!

Hopefully in a year or so, we will be positioned to purchase a home in the Bay Area, and we will certainly look to Michael first for his assistance.

I highly recommend anyone to tap his expertise, not to mention, take part in his friendly and comical conversations.
